Agroforestry

We cultivate 20 biodiverse agroforestry plots where fruit trees such as avocado, citrus, cherimola or figs grow in association with tannin trees (Caesalpinia spinosa). The tannin tree is an Andean Legume species and is the basis of our plots.

The understory is cultivated either by permanent plants such as bromeliads, opuntias, Aloe vera, coffee and passion fruits or by alfalfa or annual crops like sweet potatoes, arracachas, squashes and beans.

You can visit our agroforestry plots, taste new fruits and participate in farm activities through our Day Tours, educational visits and gastronomic tours.
